To strengthen our team in Zofingen we are looking to hire a / an

Manager Strategy and M&A

Your key tasks

  • Proactively generates and evaluates strategic growth options and business opportunities including investment candidates, joint ventures or alternative business models of a global scope
  • Develops business cases for various growth options based on comprehensive valuation models in order to assess their value creation potential on a stand-alone basis as well as its synergistic impact on overall corporate performance
  • Proposes M&A priorities and actively manages and steers M&A processes
  • Leads or is a key member of cross-functional project teams (consisting of internal and external experts, e.g. from consulting companies or law firms) for the execution of key strategic initiatives
  • Contributes as (sub-) team leader to overall deal execution, from due diligence, deal structuring, contract negotiation, carve-out to post-merger integration
  • Contributes as a (sub-) team leader for organizational development or operational improvement measures, e.g. in the fields of operational excellence, digitization, R&D excellence, cost management, etc.
  • She/he closely works together with the Head of Strategy and M&A. Furthermore, the job holder will work with other functions within the company from Finance, Human Resources, Business Development & Sales, Technical Operations to Research & Development, as required
  • Prepared to travel up to 30% of working time

Your profile

  • Business studies (Master, Diploma, PhD) with focus on corporate finance / or in engineering / natural sciences
  • Qualification in finance and project management
  • Fluency in both German and English is a must
  • Strong background in M&A, finance, transaction support, and corporate strategy
  • Advanced and robust skills in financial modeling, valuation, and accounting
  • Good project management skills
  • Strong presence and ability to act as a project leader in a cross-functional team
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Openness for a highly collaborative work style where the team wins and supports each other on a daily basis
  • Self-motivator with ability to work independently and with a clear perspective for a long-term career with the company
